Lead Assembler - Immediate Hire

Assembler Team Lead Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join the Wing Build-up team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift.

Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools Build effective resource plans Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader Updates and communicates BPS metrics Identify KPI improvement actions Assigns daily work Leads team in daily safety check-in Monitors and reports daily progress to plan Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk Documents and communicates shift turnover Establishes overtime requirements and staffing Responsible for monitoring and control of 5S Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues Create standardized work instructions Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC) Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience 3+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite 3+ years of experience with the operations process involving the 787-airplane program 3+ years of experience with Velocity and other 787 production applications 1+ year of formal or informal leadership experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3 years of experience leading teams Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
