Monitor and resolve any potential customer issues balancing customer satisfaction and the financial impact to the company. Provide support and complete service functions related to established group bookings. Perform account maintenance including servicing group contracts, handling modifications, payments and communication with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote a unique collection of Sun Country Vacations product offerings through: Satisfactory handling of inbound sales calls. Identification and solicitation of new sales opportunities. Effectively qualify customer needs in conjunction with exclusive product offerings.
  • Service inbound customer calls and emails promptly and courteously, promoting Sun Country Vacations products to meet customer’s needs.
  • Maintain and modify group bookings and invoices while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate competitive group package rates and terms in order to generate optimal air revenue and land contribution
  • Generate, proof, monitor and revise group proposals, agreements and travel documents.
  • Monitor and maintain group information and communicate applicable information to the appropriate individuals.
  • Resolve telephone inquiries, which include but are not limited to, day of departure travel issues and customer assistance during travel if needed, as well as occasional escalations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and key accounts by anticipating and effectively responding to service issues and requests.
  • Initiate pre and post travel follow-up with customers to enhance overall satisfaction and generate repeat business.
  • Provide prompt, satisfactory solutions of customers experiencing issues during and after travel.
  • Coordinate with appropriate individuals from other departments to troubleshoot and resolve customer related issues and improve service delivery.
  • Solicit suggestions from customers on improvements and make recommendations for enhancing product offerings.
  • Attend and participate in meetings that pertain to assigned responsibilities.
  • Generate and distribute reports pertaining to assigned responsibilities.
  • Review product related industry updates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate’s degree, travel certificate, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Two years of sales experience required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Knowledge of the PC including MS Word and Excel.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving, negotiation, and reasoning and judgment skills.
  • Must have strong organizational, mathematical and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate to management, peers and customers and demonstrate sound judgment/reasoning skills.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing with management and customers.
