Job Summary

Duties

  • Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system layouts.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components.
  • Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Conduct basic testing using tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify issues.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site protocols.
  • Gain experience working with construction framing carpentry, conduit installation, and wiring of electrical panels.
Skills
  • Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with framing carpentry techniques related to electrical installations is advantageous.
