In this role, you’ll support the Underwriting team by assessing and underwriting business in line with our business plan and within your delegated authority. Whether you're looking to build on existing experience or pivot your insurance career into underwriting, you'll receive full training and support from a team of knowledgeable and experienced colleagues - making this a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in the insurance industry. Your new role Provide efficient technical and general underwriting support to the team. Help ensure accurate recording and assessment of insurance risks, maintaining high standards and best practices. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, brokers, and customers to support collaborative working. Accurately input underwriting data into systems to support informed decision-making and minimise risk. Support senior members of the team by completing foundational underwriting tasks. Prepare and maintain documentation and records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist in the preparation of management reports and performance data to support business planning. About you Experience from within the insurance industry, ideally in property or commercial lines, whether that’s from underwriting, claims, operations, or a related area. Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively. An analytical mindset; confident working with data Good communication and relationship building skills A natural problem-solver, tenacious when it comes to resolving queries and seeing tasks through to completion. Comfortable using a range of systems, with a good working knowledge of Excel and other relevant software tools. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Benefits 30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
